Back on Top! Tanner Holmes Scores Third Win of RBO Season Saturday Night

A dominating performance by Tanner Holmes saw him pick up his third win of the Red Bluff Outlaws Season on Saturday night. Tanner continues to impress everyone with his talents behind the wheel as he closes in on the top spot of the Overall All Time Win List at the Red Bluff bullring.

The evening began with Time Trials for the field of 28 drivers in the Open Class. Tanner would time in 3rd Fastest Overall with a Lap Time of 8.386 seconds around the Pauline Davis Pavilion. He missed setting Fast Time by just .064 seconds as the times were unbelievably close throughout the field.

By way of his qualifying effort, Tanner would line up in the Fourth starting position in Heat Race #3. He had some work to do if he wanted to move into one of the two transfer positions to the Main Event. He would do just that as he moved forward into the Second position where he would finish behind Heat Race winner Nate Lynch. Both drivers locked into the Main Event where Tanner would have an ideal starting position. Before the Main Event rolled out though Tanner would compete in the Trophy Dash where he would finish in the 5th position.

When the Main Event rolled on to the racing surface, Tanner was originally slated to start in the fourth position outside of Row Two. Outside front row starter, Landon Brooks however, would take the Back Row Challenge which moved Tanner to the front row. When the green flag flew, Tanner quickly jumped out to the lead and took control of the race. A quick yellow would bunch the field up and would give Daniel Whitley a quick shot at the lead on the restart. Tanner’s kart was just too strong on the outside though as he powered back by the #57 kart and took over the reigns once again. The race was plagued with yellow flags, so Tanner had to endure many restarts but he never faltered. He would go on to cruise to victory. The Win marked his third on the season and his 36th in his career with the Red Bluff Outlaws.

Now is the perfect time to be gaining momentum, as we are nearing in on the biggest race of the season, the West Coast Nationals. With three Main Event wins to his credit this season, Tanner is a huge threat not just in the Nationals but will be a threat over the final two Points Races of the season as well.
